Glorious Autumn... will you visit Mississippi?

Well, well. Where did the time go? To Summer I say adieu as Labor Day has come and gone. The children are back in school with crisp notebooks and freshly sharpened pencils. In many places the foliage is starting to change and suddenly everyone has a pot of burnt orange Mums next to their door. This blog post is one with the idea of looking forward (as opposed to the 'Summer Wrap-up' below).

Autumn. Weep not for me, even down here in Mississippi, it's getting ever-so-slightly crisp in the air. In the late evening... early morning. I stress 'slightly.' Ha! I'm ready for some cooler temperatures, can you tell? Whether or not it will happen here, I'll dream of utilizing my extensive collection of wool cardigans, cashmere pullovers, and every imaginable weight of jacket and coat. I'm a New Englander at heart.

So what does this mean for you? It means it is transitioning into that ever-so-glorious time of the year: the Fall Fashion Season. In celebration of Autumn, my Fall 2009 Collection is being created and posted in the online shop every day. In this collection I'm focusing on brilliant purples, cognacs, and warm reds and oranges. Stormy sage greens and grays are on the way! I'm using even more textured wire-wraps in nearly every piece. Look forward to more of my signature deep patinas and mixed-metal pieces. Hints of rose and yellow gold with platinum will be paired with solid sterling silver. I'm excited and I can't wait for you to see.

The Summer Wrap-up

Here is a wrap-up of company news from Lee Ohio Designs this summer.

I'm excited to announce that Lee Ohio Designs can now be found in a chic little boutique named Holly Stone in the heart of Portland's Old Port, right on Exchange Street. If you live in the area, or visit Southern Maine often, check them out. Holly Stone will ca
rry a select number of exclusive, higher-end pieces and an expanded selection of the Petite Luxe collection. Below are some photos of the shop, courtesy of the company website.

I announced this summer my jubilation about acquiring my first internation
al boutique. The photo above is a snapshot of the Galerie Pfriem. The Galerie Pfriem is an extension of the Savannah College of Art and Design. I've been carried at Shop SCAD in Savannah, Georgia, for a number of years now. Due to my overwhelming success stateside, they've elected to carry my work at their Lacoste campus. Below is a photo of the gallery (photo credit: Matali Crasset). Lacoste is located in the Luberon Valley in the South of France. An exceptional hillside village with buildings that date from the 12th to 15th centuries. The last time I was there was in 2002, can you see why I'm thinking of a business trip to "check in" on things?

In addition to all of this, I was selected to participate in my first jewelry exhibition at the Desotorow Gallery, in Savannah, Georgia. The
Haiku to Metal Exhibition took place at the end of July. Below is a photo of the piece I designed specifically for the show, Morae. Now available in the online shop.
